The Best Ways to Store Your Bras (and Keep Them in Great Shape!)

So, you’ve started wearing bras—awesome! But now, you might be wondering: How do you store them properly? Whether you’ve got just a few or a growing collection, keeping your bras in good shape will help them last longer and stay comfy. Here’s everything you need to know about storing your bras the right way!

1. Lay Them Flat in a Drawer

One of the best ways to store your bras—especially padded and molded ones—is to lay them flat in a drawer. Don’t fold one cup into the other! This can cause creases and make your bras lose their shape. Instead, line them up side by side like they do in stores.

Pro Tip: If your drawer is a little messy, try using dividers or small boxes to keep your bras organized!

2. Stack Them (But Don’t Squish Them!)

If you have multiple bras, you can gently stack them inside each other by placing one bra behind another in a neat row. This saves space while still keeping them in shape.

Avoid: Folding or crumpling them up in a ball—this can ruin the fabric and make them uncomfortable to wear.

3. Use a Hanging Organizer

If you don’t have a lot of drawer space, a hanging bra organizer is a great option. You can get ones with small pockets or hang your bras by their straps on hooks. This makes them easy to see and grab when you need them.

4. Store Sports Bras in a Separate Spot

Sports bras are usually made of stretchy fabric, so they don’t need as much careful storage. You can fold them neatly and stack them in a drawer or keep them in a basket for easy access.

5. Keep Your Bras Away from Moisture & Heat

Avoid storing your bras in damp or super hot places, like a bathroom with a lot of humidity. Heat and moisture can damage the elastic, making your bras wear out faster.

6. Wash Before Storing for a Long Time

If you’re putting bras away for a while (like if they’re seasonal or don’t fit at the moment), make sure they’re washed and completely dry before storing them. Use a breathable fabric bag or box to keep them dust-free.

Taking care of your bras doesn’t have to be complicated! A little organization goes a long way in keeping them looking and feeling great. Whether you store them in a drawer, hang them up, or stack them neatly, treating your bras with care means they’ll stay comfy and last longer.
